Vote today?

School of Athens votesToday, the band loaded up in our van at 7am and headed to our local precincts to vote for our favorite candidates. I, Neal, voted for FDR (love that "New Deal" thing he has going on)... Johnny voted for "None of the Above" (I think he just did it because he loves that movie Brewster's Millions with Richard Pryor. I don't blame him. Drew voted for more cheese on Jr. Whoppers and Mike tried to order a "schmuffin" on his voting machine.

Good luck to ___________ !!

Survival of the Fittest

I have to wonder how long we'd last on the road... I mean our lives, not our spirit. We spent 3 days last week on a mini tour to Cleveland, Jamestown NY and Erie, PA, with a combined 8 hours of sleep over the three days. It's not like we were spending time driving, all of the shows were within hours of each other, there was just a lot of time spent celebrating current events and birthdays till very late in the night. What called for celebration? Whose birthday was it? No one that I know, but hey, it had to be someone's.

I have to say the small town of Jamestown, NY was the most fun night of the trip. Definitely the best club on the "tour", Mojo's was the perfect venue. Every city was extremely nice to us, even Cleveland..

I can't help but laugh when we get home and i'm cleaning out our van (and the silly string all over it) of the random things I find stuck to the floor like it's a theater in there.

Thank you to Bob, J-Bird, Scan, Joe K, Delaney and the friends we met along the way for making the trip a great experience. We're planning another trip, so make sure you get your tickets for the ride.

Around the world in three days

Today the band is heading to Cleveland to play at the Davenport and we're not stopping there... we'll be in Jamestown, NY Friday night, then down to Erie, PA to play at Sherlocks. We went to Cleveland a few months ago to see Silverchair at the House of Blues and had the time of our lives, and we're really hoping to recapture that drunken magic once again. Being from Pittsburgh, you're raised to hate everything Cleveland, but honestly I think it's a great city. Every time I've been I've had a great time. I hope that tradition continues tonight.

We've never been to Jamestown, NY but our friends Triggers told us the place is a small college town that parties hard. Therefore, we will party hard.

Erie always treats us good. This will be our third trip to Sherlocks and the place is huge and the beer is cheap. Can't beat that. Erie is actually a great place to play. There are a few colleges around so the bars fill up.

So, to recap:

Thursday, Feb. 7th
The Davenport
Cleveland, OH

Friday, Feb. 8th
Mojo's
Jamestown, NY

Saturday, Feb. 9th
Sherlock's
Erie, PA
